By WENN.com | Thursday, October 29, 2009

Wine connoisseur Chris Calkins, who wed Neuwirth in May (09), is alleged to owe his former spouse Susan Calkins $185,000 (£115,625) after falling behind on monthly payments to care for their three sons.Calkins has filed suit against her ex, branding him "a particularly egregious deadbeat dad" in the legal papers recently lodged in California's Marin County Superior Court, according to the National Enquirer. In the documents, Susan states, "(Calkins) flew all three of our sons to Manhattan (New York) for his 'showbusiness' wedding and enjoyed a Hawaiian honeymoon with his new wife, yet paid nothing for his sons' court-ordered day-to-day support."Neither Calkins nor Neuwirth had commented on the reports as WENN went to press.

Hudson cancels Halloween party plans for baseball beau

By WENN.com | Thursday, October 29, 2009

The slugger will be stepping up to the plate at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday (31Oct09) as his New York Yankees play the Philadelphia Phillies and Hudson would rather cheer her man on than hang out with stars.A pal tells Life & Style magazine, "Kate looks forward to her Halloween party and always tries to outdo herself, but it wasn’t even a question to do it this year. As much as she would love to invite everyone to her house, Alex is much more important."And Rodriguez needs all the support his team can get - the Yankees are down one game after losing to the Phillies in New York on Wednesday night (28Oct09). Game Two is in New York on Thursday night (29Oct09).

Shepard kinda thrilled to Tom Arnold's fourth best manBy WENN.com

| Thursday, October 29, 2009

Shepard admits he was initially flattered to be asked - until he realised there had been three best men before him.
The Employee of The Month star says, "I was like, 'I'm his fourth best man!' That's like if someone asks you to be the fourth godparent to their kid - like, 'If these three people die, you take care of him.'"But Shepard fears he failed his pal by organising a lame bachelor party in Palm Springs, California. He explains, "It was, like, nine dudes in a rented house in Palm Springs; half of everyone was sober and (there were) so many marriages between everyone... We went swimming and had barbecue."

Scott working on Chippendales movie
By WENN.com | Thursday, October 29, 2009

The filmmaker has signed up to document the rise and fall of Somen 'Steve' Banerjee, who launched the Chippendales in a Los Angeles nightclub in the 1980s.Banerjee's fast rise to fame was blighted by a series of lawsuits and criminal charges and in 1993, he faced charges of conspiracy and attempting to hire a hitman to kill a former Chippendales stripper and choreographer.Banerjee eventually pleaded guilty to counts of attempted arson, racketeering and murder for hire, reaching a plea deal that would put him behind bars for 26 years and cost him his shares in the Chippendales parent company. He was also linked to the murder of ex-business associate Nick DeNoia, who was found dead in April 1987, but the trial was never concluded - his body was found hanging in his prison cell in October 1994, just hours before he was due to be officially sentenced. The movie will be executive produced by Peter Saphier. A start date for production has yet to be set, reports trade paper Daily Variety.
